From March 8-12, 2021, THBI hosted Texas Life Science Week to further promote the importance of research and development, and innovation in Texas during the 87th Texas Legislative Session. As the public policy voice for the healthcare and bioscience industry, our mission is to develop and advocate policies and actions that promote biomedical science, biotechnology, agriculture and medical device innovation in Texas.

    

Texas Life Science Week included an exhibit in the Capitol, the Virtual Spring Policy Summit, and a Virtual Legislative Fly-In to discuss COVID-19 and policy issues of importance relating to biopharmaceutical innovation.

In 2021, THBI celebrates 25 years of working to promote effective legislation and a steady regulatory environment at the state and federal levels. We're excited to share our new Texas Life Sciences Legislative Directory, a resource intended to help connect our members with legislative leaders and their staff during session.
