BIO Legislative Day Fly-In 2008
April 15-16, 2008
Washington, DC
This year, THBI will again lead a delegation of Texas entities to participate in the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s (BIO) annual fly-in to Washington, D.C. There are a significant number of federal issues facing the life science industry and it is imperative that Texas Congressional Delegates hear from their life science constituency. Some of the important issues THBI members need to lend their voice to include: patent reform, follow-on biologics, animal cloning and labeling, and comparative effectiveness.
This year’s Fly-In will take place on April 15-16, 2008. The events will begin at 4:30pm on April 15th and will end around 5pm on April 16th. Please visit www.bio.org/flyin for more information and to register. Please email Amber Pearce at amber@thbi.com to let her know once you have registered. Fly-in participants are responsible for their own airfare and hotel rooms, however all meetings with the Texas Congressional Delegation will be arranged by BIO.
